Frequently Asked Questions

Counselling Services

  • If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or seeking guidance for personal growth, counselling may be a good fit. It provides a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts and feelings and can help you navigate life’s challenges with greater ease. Although counselling can be incredibly beneficial in moments of complete and utter overwhelm, it can also be just as helpful when you’re in a phase of quiet contemplation and gentle restructuring.

  • The number of sessions varies depending on your goals and the challenges you're addressing. Some people find a few sessions helpful, while others prefer ongoing support. We’ll work together to create a plan that suits your needs, and we’ll reassess as needed.

  • Registered Clinical Counselling and Registered Therapeutic Counselling services are covered by many extended health plans in BC. Check with your provider to confirm coverage for counselling with an RCC or RTC.

NeurOptimal® Neurofeedback Rentals

  • No special training is required. The system is user-friendly and comes with clear instructions. We’re also available to provide support if you have questions during your rental period.

  • A session involves sitting comfortably while listening to relaxing music for about 33 minutes. The system does all the work, and many clients notice improvements in focus, sleep, and emotional regulation after several sessions.

  • The duration depends on your goals. Many clients see benefits after a month of regular use, but longer rentals are available for ongoing support.

  • NeurOptimal® is generally well-tolerated and non-invasive, making side effects very rare. Some people may feel slightly tired or energized after a session, depending on how their brain processes the training. These effects are typically mild and temporary. Because NeurOptimal® does not force changes in the brain, but rather works to gently train it, these effects could be understood more accurately as the body’s response to changes rather than “side effects.”
