You know something needs to change. You just don't know why changing it feels so hard.
Maybe you've tried thinking your way out of it. Staying busier. Setting better boundaries. Being more disciplined. Reading the books. Doing the work. And yet you still find yourself overthinking, shutting down, people-pleasing, feeling on edge, or falling back into patterns you thought you'd moved past. These responses aren't always a sign that you're doing something wrong. Often, they're patterns your mind and nervous system learned for a reason.
Counselling can help you understand those patterns, work with what is underneath them, and build new ways of responding that feel more like you.
What would you like support with?
-
Support for feeling disconnected, unmotivated, heavy, numb or unlike yourself.
-
Overthinking, worry, tension, panic or feeling like your mind never really switches off.
-
Support for substance use and other patterns that may have started as ways to cope.
-
When your body still feels like the danger hasn’t passed, even when you know you’re safe.
-
When repeated or long-term experiences continue to shape how you feel, relate, and respond.
-
A supportive space for questioning, grieving and rebuilding after difficult religious or spiritual experiences.
Not sure where you fit? That's okay. A free consultation is a simple place to start.
You don't need to know which type of therapy you need before you begin. Start with what you're experiencing.
Counselling that goes beyond managing symptoms
You don't need another person simply telling you to think positively, try harder or add another coping strategy to your list.
At Navigate Wellness, we look at the bigger picture: your experiences, relationships, patterns, beliefs and nervous system.
The goal isn't to “fix” who you are. It's to understand what your mind and body have learned, process what is still affecting you, and help you respond to life with more flexibility, choice and self-trust.
Therapy shaped around you
There isn't one approach that works for every person. Depending on your goals and your counsellor, therapy may draw from approaches including:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Practical tools for noticing and changing patterns in thoughts, emotions and behaviour.
EMDR
A structured therapy used to help process distressing experiences and memories.
Internal Family Systems Therapy
An approach that helps you become curious about the different “parts” of yourself and the roles they've learned to play.
Enneagram Theory
A framework for understanding your patterns, motivations and ways of relating, with the goal of building greater self-awareness and choice.

Hypnotherapy
A guided therapeutic approach that may be incorporated when appropriate to explore patterns, beliefs and experiences.
Walk and Talk Therapy
In-person counselling that brings therapy outdoors, offering a more active and relaxed alternative to sitting in an office. Available in the Chilliwack area.
